FS Brazilian Rosewood and Rock Maple Tele Body
What's Hot
I probably need to include a little bit of info before posting the pics:
I’m an artist and designer based in the UK (you can view some of my work here:
http://www.krislamba.com/) and originally trained in fine cabinetry before moving over into the art world several moons ago. Along side the cabinetry I’d make the occasional guitar for friends and family. About 8 years back I came across a beautiful piece of Brazilian RW which was far too nice (and big) to be made into fretboards and bridges. The result of some deliberation was the Tele body you see below.
It’s made to a vintage 52 template and features a three piece 28mm thick B RW back, joined seamlessly along the grain pattern, and a 17mm bookmatched hard rock maple top. The BRW is chambered on the top side and the maple has a hand cut f-hole above this chamber. The rest of the body is solid. The body has been sanded to 1000 grit and sealed but has enough thickness to allow for re-sanding should the new owner wish. I had originally had in mind a sunburst top fading into the natural BRW back...
Body weight is 6.2 lb although this is before neck pocket and pickup routing.
Due to work commitments and life getting in the way, this body was never finished. I’ve decided to sell it as it really deserves to be finished.
Pricing for this is very hard, as it was such a long time ago that I made it, but I think £400 is very fair and probably doesn’t even cover the cost of the rosewood, let alone the time to make it.
Collection from my studio is welcome and I can obviously post it as well.

Answer from fate: Wind your neck in (pun intended).
I concluded that fate has a sense of humor.
This looks bang on. Someone please buy it and post the end product........
Persistent and inconsistent guitar player.
A lefty, hence a fog of permanent frustration
Not enough guitars, pedals, and cricket bats.
