Hi,

I’m after a mojoaxe for my les Paul special. Give me a shout if you have one you’re looking to move on.

Cheers,
Dan

He sells them on reverb.com.   About £140.00 with the customs duty and VAT.

  • Have you seen the Faber ones which are virtually identical? @IvisonGuitars can sort you out

Ah, I thought the faber one had some brass bars on top? The mojoaxe has a compensated ridge unless I've missed something. Would prefer a faber as I guess it would be much cheaper.

No, Faber now do a ridged one and it’s only £50

That is horrible.  The mojoaxe one looks totally original and historically accurate - if that's important - whereas this just looks like shit.

    Picture 2 of 5
The shape is much less obvious than this picture suggests.

Also it doesn’t look shit, it’s a very neat design and looks pretty cool I reckon, to hell with ‘accuracy’ yawn

I'm sure it's a very functional piece of kit but I really don't care for the looks at all.  Agree with the accuracy comment to a large extent though.....

Needless to say, had I known it was your very own guitar, I would have phrased my criticism differently

I bought one of these ABM wraparound bridges, which is similar to the Faber one, but more pricey.

Works a treat, and the look doesn't bother me at all.

  • Got a mojo one on my R4 very pleased with it, i must admit i don't like the look of those others with the big deep ridge on them, cannot imagine them to be as comfortable to rest your palm on whilst playing.

  • I'v got brass and aluminium ABM wraparounds and a Mojo one I'v tested between a  Les paul Special and SG Special.

On the SG special the ABM brass with their brass studs is definitely my favourite.  Sounds bigger and fuller but still crisp.  On the Les Paul I preferred aluminium and would give the edge to the ABM over the Mojo.  Both are great but the ABM seemed to sound a little sweeter.
