SD PAF set (rewound) FOR SALE

Selling these matched PAFs set if anyone looking? They started life as (zebra) SD Pearly Gates I believe. A friend rewound and changed out the magnets for me for a more classic, less compressed PAF sound but still in the 'hotter' PAF mark. Nowt wrong with ol' BG but these are a little more open sounding now when the amp driven a bit. Great blues, loud blues sorts of tones plus all in between. Classic 2 cable 50s style braid hookup wire and nickel covers. Pic here:

They sound great, probably better in a Les Paul or solid body though - an ES maybe just a little too punchy but your mileage may vary. Quality A1 and without issue - happy to have them back if any issues or if they don't hit the spot.

£95 shipped ono

Many thanks
Hugh

No James, different set. Yours were SH-1s in that guitar.

Not a worry James, I got the LP sorted out and  very pleased with it. It was totally fine as is but quite fancied a small project of sorts with it.

How do these compare with a classic 57 set? I have those in my Traditional and they sound quite good but looking for something different, more PAF like. I find the 57+ in the bridge a bit too compressed and hot for my taste.

These are a little hotter but still retain clarity and authentic pafalike tones in my opinion. They are well suited to classic blues rock or rock and would be ideal in a les Paul or SG possibly.
