Might be worth deciding if you want a 12 or 14 fret body join and going from there. Not that many options at the higher price points. Martin and Gibson both seem to have dropped guitars from their range they were doing a couple of years back. I'd love a Keb Mo but out of my price range right now sadly. Been looking at the Gretsch G5111.

Why would I choose a 12 or 14 fret body join? I only became aware of the difference when looking at the various models in the Martin range.

I like 12 fret guitars for country blues bottleneck playing because the body join is a nice non-visual reference point for slide playing up at the octave.
