1998 D16 on eBay - Tempted

Anyone have experience of these?  What's the difference between these and the new ones?  Is the price about right?  I am tempted to jump on this, but need a little push ;-)

    i am not sure about the difference between the old and new...but i have played a few and reckon thats a very good price for an under rated guitar....£600 would be better obviously :)

    With the electrics added as well that's a very good price. They're twice that new, without electrics.

    The strap button on the end of the neck heel isn't too clever, but it would be possible to replace the heel cap veneer fairly easily.
