I've had this amp for 20years and it sounds like a REAL Marshall should, - - it rocks & it's loud! ....I'll say no more, you either know what to expect or this ad maybe doesn't apply to you.
15years ago I decided it was too heavy for me to hump around to gigs, so I decided to split it into a head and cab .....purfek!   I wrote off to Jim himself, who in those days was happy to sell the real Marshall tolex, logo, gold braid & knobs (and a wall-full of original posters!) and I made my own head cab with some decent ply. ....ok so the head close-up isn't a manufactured finish, but logistically and effectwise, it's the business. The 2x12  (all original) has age & use written on it, it didn't help when I moved the logo by 90deg for the days when I preferred it stood vertical (hence marks on cover grill, also explains the added sockets on the sides) ....badge was already broken on the M so it was good for the change! The cab is a bit scruffy, but then again its a gigging amp with 37yrs character behind it, and today it will still crank out that unmistakable sound. The head is original except for the addition of 1-ohm biasing test point resistors to facilitate power valve change (also gives added protection & security), and I will throw in a pair of unused boxed EL34s which I have carried as spares but never needed them. Theres a bit of crackle on the gain pot, but it works ok. The head/cab is an option, ...it will revert to combo status in 10mins if you feel like carrying 20-odd kilos around. As a combo it is known as a 2104, as a head its a 2204. It has been basking in the sun in the south of France for the last 13 years, but it is no probs at all to pack it well/double and courier to UK . I understand these will sell for between £400min. to over £600 (for top condition) ......the postage will be £50+, so I would sell for £460 combo and I will cover the postage, or £360 for the head alone, posted. Combo & head £480.
