Sod all you lucky people at the guitar show. Exactly 5 years to the day since I bought my SG (ays Facebook), I drove 3 hours through the rain for this today...

    Good eyes! I have virtually no need for the pickup but definitely see it as "value add"! 

    It had a few finish scuffsbut nothing that T-cut and a good polish could fix. It's virtually pristine now, and sounds wonderful.

    I have to say, MrsF was very relieved; I told her it was like the one I tried when demoing my Dove. She thought I meant the poo-brown walnut J45 which was sonically amazing but, well, poo brown. This is much more attractive!

    Yep. It's a lot less "spanky" sounding than the Dove I'm used to, but it's really sweet sounding, and loud as anything if you hit it hard. 

    Plan is to let this bed in for a week or two then sell the Dove. Though I can well imagine I'll end up with a black dove at some point in future. They'd be a good set :)

    Ha! I genuinely haven't even considered keeping both. She might be a lawyer but she can count! Though I did sell the Gretsch the other week...
