As much as we complain about them you have to love Amazon. There is simply no way I could have afforded a guitar like this without their random and inexplicable pricing.

I started with a Cort AD880 which I still love and is my main go to acoustic. I did 'upgrade' to a Yamaha, but to be honest the Cort pretty much blows it away in every respect. Both solid spruce tops and laminate sides, I've been dying to upgrade to a solid wood acoustic, assuming I would have to stick with spruce. Mostly I've been looking at Faith acoustics, but even a slightly battered used one runs to almost £200.

Then this popped up on Amazon. Between £450 and £500 in most places Amazon dropped the price by £300 to £178.13 a couple of days ago, which luckily got picked up by my software. Barely the price of a used Faith. Immediately I bought it the price went back up to £476. According to the price tracker it's never dropped below £476 before.

Solid flamed maple top, flamed maple back & sides, mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fretboard, L.R.Baggs pre-amp and tuner - it's an absolute beauty and the sound, even un-amplified, is astonishing. The quality of the finish is incredible - so polished I can't take a decent photo as everything reflects. I think you might have guessed just how chuffed I am. Set up very well too.

Surprised it didn't come with even a soft case, but can't really complain for the money :)

Apologies for the crap pictures - too polished and only a phone camera

Lovely!  I've never owned a Crafter, but I've played one or two, and they've always impressed.  Good score!
