Hi all,
I have a 1x12 40w Carr Slant 6V in very nice condition, and am looking to swap it (or pex as appropriate) for a similar quality, but lighter and lower powered combo. But it's mainly just because I fancy a change :-)
I'm thinking of things like a Carr Rambler or Skylark or a Tone King Falcon. Mainly interested in Fender-derived amps, but might also have my interest piqued by a nice Marshall derivative, for a more extreme change, or even a vintage Gibson guitar.
I'd want to swap in person, so you'd have to be in range of me in the North West. Or: I'll be in Shropshire for a few days in late March.
To complicate things further, I also have a 2x12 Marshall JMP50 (2104) that has recently been serviced by Martin Whelan. Again, this is a bit to big for me these days so I'd consider swaps for this - either alone or in combo with the Carr.
Any takers?? Happy to send photos if anyone is interested.

Guitarguitar originally sold the Headstrong at £1,800 and later dropped it to £1,500 as they weren't flying out of the door fast enough. I guess you'd get a discount on the Carr's new price too if you rolled up with cash.
That said I wouldn't mind adding cash to the deal if the Carr lived up to it's reputation. Can't say how much yet as I'm also a fussy bugger and my experience of Carr is limited to reviews and YouTube. Also I'm not unhappy with the Headstrong, just slightly bored and looking for something a little less simple and not too much heavier.
If you want to try the Headstrong you're welcome to call at my place in Ulverston with your amp.
RE: Price, it might be worth having a little look around at what they go for 2nd hand. The Slant V's don't seem to hold their value as well as some of the other Ramblers. For example, there's been one on the Coda 2nd hand page for about 2 months at £1699, and the last one on here stayed around for ages at £1500.
As for the Headstrong, I couldn't say as it's not an amp I know much about, but my only experience of the Carr amps (Rambler) is that they are beyond excellent
