Bought on a whim as I had a SM50 in the past and I'm a big Black Crowes fan. Reason amps are used by Rich Robinson

This is pretty much the same as the bigger SM series amps but in a small format.

Its a US made boutique all valve head putting out around 8W (switchable to 2W). It has three channels in effect;
The sound is very Plexi like with separate normal and bright channels 1 + 2
The 3rd channel combines the two in what is called Stack Mode which places both pre-amps in series and has a separate master volume - hot rodded marshall tones.
This is all foot-switchable but I don't have the footswitch - it just needs a regular two button switch though.
The amp runs regular 12AX7's in the pre-amp and a pair of cathode biased EL90(6AQ5's) in the power amp. The nice ting about these is they are very readily available as NOS - currently it is fitted with 1967 USA made Sylviana tubes but I will include a set of Tesla NOS tubes too.

The build quality is way ahead of other small heads such as the Tiny Terror etc but it is very light weight. It packs enough punch for small gigs.

Looking for £300 ono for a quick sale - collection from close to Witney but can post to the uK for £20.
