SOLD: MJW V6-20 (EL84 version)

This is a great amp.  But I also have an MJW Goldstar SS and that circuit is more me, so I'm seeing if I can raise funds to get an MJW Twin based around the Goldstar SS preamp.

Martin also posted about the build which gives the details of how this is slightly different from a normal V6-20.  Here's a link to the post:


Its basically a JMP Marshall type circuit (with a gain switch to kick it up to JCM gain levels) but with an EL84 power section.  Also has power scaling and 2 foot switchable master volumes.

Looking for £600.  Collection from Redhill, Surrey would be preferred but happy to discuss shipping.

    That happens to me quite a lot as well!

    I do need a decent 2x12 cab so might consider one of those as a part ex.  Other than that the only amps i'd be interested in are Soldano's or, to satisfy an itch as I've never owed one before, a Mesa Dual Rectifier.  Already stocked up with wife and kids...

    Christmas is a bit busy but if I still have the amp in the new year i'm sure we can arrange meeting up.

    No Mesa's here I'm afraid - just my Dr Z Carmen Ghia and MJW oversized 1x12 (I know I know). In the unlikely event that Santa brings me a load of cash...

    Sorry guys... but it's gone to a good home. And I ALWAYS think a new amp is for life. But then after a while, I sometimes I forget. :)

    Looking forward to it arriving. It's going to be much easier carting it up and down several flights of stairs than the Shiva. I've got a little pine 1x12 with a Jensen Tornado that should sound great with it and be a nice lightweight setup. Or maybe the ported Shiva cab... or maybe that Matamp slanted 2x12 I never use. Choices, choices... ;)
