    I bought one of these this week and get to use it tonight for the first time. initial thoughts when I opened it were that it doesn't look long enough to position my 57 directly infant of my speaker on my amp though? don't know if anyone else with one would care to weigh in on that before i get to practice tonight?

    Well, it will depend on the size of your amp or cab.  This one looked a bit small when I opened it at work, but it fits just fine on a more or less regular-sized 12 inch combo.
