The speakers are now sold but the cab is available if anybody is interested!  £100!!!

I have just sold my last head so this cab is totally excess to requirements.  It's a totally handmade solid pine cab using what looks like 22mm pine for the main carcass and 19mm pine for the back panels.  It's quite difficult to measure precisely.

The cab is a decent size measuring 44cm x 29cm x 77cm and with the pair of G12Ms it weighs 18.6 kilos.  It was designed so it could be used as a closed or open back cab by inserting a 3rd pine panel between the two existing back panels.  I have never done this as it sounds perfect as it is but it would be very easy to make up a small panel measuring 11cm x 72.5cm.

The pine is finished in danish oil which gives really superb protection and is dead easy to re-apply as and when necessary.  Just lightly sand and apply with a rag.  Dead simple and cheap.  Smells nice too!!  However, it could be tolexed or........whatever.

The cab has 4 over-sized rubber feet so is very solid.  Brass jack plate on the back of the cab with new wiring.

The speakers in it are a pair of 1972 Celestion G12Ms with pulsonic cones.

Both cones are marked 102 3 as in the photo below.

Date codes as below, same on both speakers.

I very stupidly made a small hole in the very edge of one cone when removing it from a cab about 3 years ago.  The retaining bolt in the cab just went through the cone but the hole was (more a tear) only 2mm long.  I phoned Celestion and also contacted Dr Decibel at Celestion and got loads of very good advice.  I was told that it is very easy to repair a small tear and make a permanent repair that would be 110%.  I did this as they suggested using 3 layers of tissue paper and copydex.  I have been using it daily for the last 18 months with a mid 60s Slmer Treble and Bass head and a Marshall PA20 head and it has been perfect.  I could not and still cannot tell any difference between the sound sound before and after the repair.  The photo below shows the repair.

The G12Ms sound just amazing, the best speakers I have ever used.  They do everything you want them to do and well.  Other than the repair to one speaker the cones are in perfect condition.  Please use the link below to access more photos of both the cab and the speakers.

I have a couple of old Fender amps from the 50s, both with solid pine cabs, and they sound utterly amazing, better than any ply cab I have ever used.  This 2x12 gives the same quality of sound.  It's much more musical to my ears and as this cab is quite deep it really resonates.

I am asking £250 for the cab and this is firm.  I'm not really up for any trades at the moment.  I have looked into shipping and as I have a UPS a/c it seems like I can get shipping within the UK to non remote areas for £11 which I find a bit strange, seems too cheap, but have got the quote on the basis of adding 4.5 kilos to the weight and added 6 cm to all dimensions to allow for packing materials and it still comes up with £11.  This would be on a next day delivery but with no enhanced insurance.  I believe insurance is 2% of the insured value.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Sorry, I should have put a price on cab sans speakers!  Totally forgot. How about £120?  That's stupid cheap for a solid pine cab and I'm guessing you wouldn't need shipping being 3 miles down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;)  In fact, free door to door delivery!

Beautiful cab and very good price! I am not going to be able to take advantage unfortunately, but this surely isn't going to be here very long...
