I am looking to buy an early eighties Marshall JCM800 2203 vertical input or a Marshall JMP 2203 Needs to be in original condition please. I will consider an amp in any cosmetic condition as the Cosmetics do not really bother me .if the amp is in pristine condition then thats fine but I will be happy to buy one even if it is a really scruffy one just so long as the condition is reflected in the price. And it must be in good working condition. Sorted now just bought one today.

This one sounds really great . It is a JMP 2203 from 1980 and I got it for £600 inc a flightcase. It has a really Great iconic Marshall tone and loads of gain on tap. I have owned a lot of them over the years and find them very hit and miss . they are all over the place re consistency. Some are shite and some just bearable but the good ones are truly outstanding .they all seem to have different levels of gain and I like the really gainy ones. I sold my last one due being busted for cash and that one was superb just pure ac/dc on lower gain settings right up to eighties gained out stuff. The one I bought today is ex phil campbell from motorhead. The guy I bought it from also played and toured with motorhead for awhile while they were having problems with their guitar player wurzel. Cant beat a good marshall.
