PRICE DROP FS/ FT: Fuchs Lucky 7 Mk I Head - £399 delivered
What's Hot
The wife imposed 'one in, one out' mantra means I need to find a new home for the L7
This is the Mk I - single channel, single ended, non-master volume with fixed bias - great touch sensitivity, clean to mean on the guitar volume and nice thickening as the power tube compresses.
Think of this as a mini Express and you won't be far off. To my ears, it's at it's best with HBs (but you may think different.. :-) )
It's a nice little 'grab and go' head for practice and small gigs and it's producing great tones at home levels with a 2x12 running G12H30s
It's running a clean 7w with an EL34 and 5w with a 6V6 (it's currently biased for the 6V6)
Condition: When I bought it, I asked Andy Fuchs to check it over (over email and pics!) and he's confirmed it all original.
There are no scratchy pots or electrical gremlins
There's one tiny knick on the tolex on the bottom of the cab (pictured with the screw in shot for scale ~ it really is small)
I'll provide a pair of recent JJ ECC83s & 6V6GT with plenty of life left in them
Collection from Surrey or happy to pack and post
Trade wise - might be tempted by something interesting...
Best
Baz
The answer was never 42 - it's 1/137 (..ish)
