Trades only now and on Gumtree as of today.

Ideally would prefer trade for either smaller valve amp or possibly a guitar. Open to offers. Trade value somewhere in the £600 region I suppose.

    Now on Gumtree.

Would still trade for a smaller amp.

Sell the =C='s separately? I could do with some.

If the amp doesn't sell then its likely I will hold onto the valves as they sound great. Not really into selling it off in bits.

    I forgot all about this...

    So bump.

Trades only as I don't need the cash and would prefer either a small amp or possibly a guitar or bass.

  • What kind of small amps are you interested in? Gig worthy, recording, practice...?

Not that I have anything I could realistically offer. Unless you're really after a 5 watt ac30... ;)

I have gigging and recording amps already, so either would be fine. I love the sound of this amp, but as I am not gigging on a regular basis these days its getting wasted sat in my house. It does sound nice on low volume, but it sounds excellent when cranked as it should be.

So I'm hoping for something physically smaller like a combo or small head with cab.

I have a 2x12 Mesa combo, a Line 6 DT25 head and matching cab, a Peavey Classic that all get used (and a small Vox modelling thing in my kitchen).

So I suppose something between 5 and 30 watts would be more than adequate for me.

I reckon either a small Blackstar, Cornford or Marshall for example.

Well, I have a 5 watt mooer little monster and a spare power valve. And a crude home made attenuator in a vintage sweety tin...

The cab is a Laney 2x10. To be honest, it's fine, but I think your general gear is of higher quality than this cab. It'll match nicer with a 1x10 or 1x12 anyway really... And is obviously not even close to the value of the amp and cabs, so it'd require some splitting.

Not sure I'd use it as its a Vox like tone and I think I have that covered already. Was looking for a more Marshall like amp really.

  • Surely the obvious amp for you is a JCA22H? Cheap as chips, and they're a very appealing mix of all the best bits of Jet City and Marshall tones.

I suppose I could just buy the Jettenuater instead as its even cheaper.

  • Really? I haven't seen them anywhere in the UK. The JCA22H is £206 + £6 delivery...

The UK distributer sent me an email last week saying they are getting them in on their next shipment. So I might go that route instead for now.

Interesting. Did they happen to mention what else is going to be in that shipment?

EDIT: ...and how much the Jettenuator's going to be?

No and no. I'll let you know if they get back to me with times etc.

I have also seen them for sale at Thomann so they are about.

  • None on Thomann for now. Even more annoying is the fact that I bought a JCA50H yesterday from the UK shop, since £400 was a bit of a stretch right now for a JCA100HDM. Today, Thomann have a B-stock JCA100HDM for £350. Goddammit.

Still up for a trade ideally for something physically smaller amp wise.
