I just finished renovating this massive beast and it is now working perfectly.  But I'm selling everything and starting again, so it's off.

It's very difficult to find anything out about these amps - they seem to be rather rare.  They are very similar to Gibson GA-30 Invaders, but not identical.  Spec is 2 x 7591 power valves (currently rewired and biased for 6V6s though), reverb, tremolo, four inputs into two channels, each with volume and tone.  It still has the original 4x10 CTS alnico speakers, which sound proper lovely.  It was a bit of a mess inside when I got it, but I've rewired the power amp and put all the filter caps on a single board with the bias supply (see photos below, and look at this here thread).  All pots have been cleaned and are crackle-free.  What else?  Ah yes, I replaced all the ceramic caps with Mallory 150s, and the difference in sound is very noticeable - no more ratty distortion.  The reverb was distorting badly until yesterday - fixed by removing the bias bypass cap from V2, and...um...installing the correct valve.  It is missing the panel covering the underside of the chassis, which for safety's sake I will sort out before the sale.  The pilot lamp flickers on and off because the bulb holder or whatever it's called is a bit loose, but I'll see if I can sort that out.  There is a tear to the tolex at one corner, and a bit of damage to the cab, but other than that it's in pretty good condition for a fifty year-old amp.

As for value, I really have no idea.  I paid £200 for it with the reverb not working, and it sounding pretty awful, and I've put a fair bit of work into it (see the thread, linked above) and replaced the power valves.  So let's start with £400 300 225! collected from Norwich.  I'll be driving to and from Heathrow on 20 December and up to Stirling and back around New Year, so could deliver or meet if I'm passing near you.

    Bump for final price drop to £225.  That's what I paid for it plus cost of the new valves, and all that work for free (see above).  I really need to shift this in the next couple of days towards funding the L4CES I just agreed to pay for and pick up on Sunday.  If it doesn't sell I will be tempted to rip out the speakers for a Vibrolux Reverb I am making - don't make me do this to a working vintage amp!

    Bump and now up for trade offers.  I'll consider anything, as long as it's not as big as this thing.  For once I can't think of a single thing I need.

    Also, I've done some more work on this amp.  I've made a lower chassis cover for it, rewired the speakers, and mounted a 1/4" jack connection for them.
