With the success of their new DI pedal it seems they've done the right thing and used that as a preamp and bolted on the rest of the amp.

Loads of different sounds in the 2 vids below. Metal / Jazz / Fretless etc etc.

Available next spring apparently.... TBH Ampeg should follow Darkglass's approach and actually have them available in the shops on the day all the vids get published.

Some great sounds, and playing. I'd be interested how these compare pricewise to the Darkglass gear.

Thomann have them listed already

So the biggest is about the same price as a Darkglass MT900 V2 or AO amp.

The other big news is the new cabs.

The 2x12 is 18kg - the same as a Barefaced Super Twin. Although the Ampeg is only 500W handling and the BF is 1200W

The new 4x10 is 19kg - about 3kg lighter than the Barefaced. Still a difference in power handling, 600W compared to 1000W, but then again if an show needs turning up that much the PA should be doing the hard work.

Cab prices are so close that price won't be the issue, it will be all about the sound, and reliability.
