NGD Fender American special stratocaster - another raffle win!

A few years ago I won a PRS CE24 Semihollow in a raffle. As lovely as that guitar was i have since sold it on.
I did kind of regret selling it. Logically it made sense.

Anyway I have been entering the odd guitar raffle. To stop me spending money through the works vending machine or buying a takeaway.
I haven't spent loads and I'm very mindful about what I'm entering. The PRS was lovely but I was never smitten with it. The Hendrix Woodstock strat was one of the guitars seared into my brain when I first started playing. I haven't been in the best of moods recently so winning this has cheered me up.
I have been called the luckiest bastard by my guitar playing friends. I don't do the national lottery but I've been told I should!

So this is an American special stratocaster in Olympic white. It needs a set up as the trem is pretty much flat. So I'll do that when I get chance.

I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

  • Very nice, was this GGG? I've entered my fair share of those and never come away with anything. They had a lovely Jim Root Jazzmaster this week.

Lovely guitar and a nice bit of good fortune. I've always loved the big headstock strat design but never owned one. One day...

It was mate. One ticket is all you need. I don't buy hundreds. It's easy to get sucked in. I just look it now like two kitkats from the vending machine. Again i only enter the ones I want to win.

Congrats!  Nice, same here. Don't enter anything I wouldn't keep. No lottery either for me either so a couple of quid a week is fine for something that I would actually make use of.

Is it satin or gloss? Love the 70s styling.

Cheers mate. It's a satin neck with a poly body. I've had two American specials before. A two tone sunburst one and a blonde one. This is a keeper though.
