Ebay "Guest Account" - wassat?
Is this a new thing?
I listed a camera (£500) on Ebay and someone bought it pretty quickly. But it's a new Ebayer (joined same day) and therefore with no feedback at all. So, obviously I'm sceptical.
I contacted them through the usual 'Contact Buyer' link to raise my concerns and got no answer. I tracked them down on Facebook, - fairly unique name - sent them a PM and they replied that they bought using Ebay's Guest Account system and therefore cannot reply to my messages via Ebay (!)

Anyone had experience of this? Am I worrying unnecessarily? Ebay doesn't allow sellers to block zero-feedback buyers anyway.

I don't sell anything expensive via Buy It Now unless it's Collect Only. Everything else is Auction because guests cannot bid.
I'll see if I can have a phone chat before sending it off. Not that I really know how to tell a convincing scammer from a normal human.
