I bought a pedal from Peach last week. Excellent straightforward easy transaction, would recommend Peach to anyone.
The pedal was delivered last Friday, 01/09/2023 at 2:09pm by FedEx. Great stuff, next day delivery :+1:
I got an email from FedEx tonight, Wednesday 06/09/2023 at 20:51pm,  5 days later...
WTF was the point of this communication? Talk about stating the bleeding obvious....

The last delivery I had was by Evri ....... yes, I know, it actually was delivered to the correct address ...... caught me while I was washing a few dishes in the sink.  I took the delivery at my front door and a couple of minutes later the "proof of delivery" email arrived in my inbox showing me holding the package just above waistline and showed my body from just below chest height down to my knees.  It looked as though I had pissed myself or not shaken it well enough, because there was a wet patch right at boaby height on my light grey joggers.  It must have been from me leaning against the sink when a bit of dishwater lapped over the side.

DPD are usually the best ones for communications and time of delivery in my experience, but the last driver was a different name from the usual one.  I was out in my garage at the end of my short driveway at the side of the house with the lift-up door open.  I had taken the wireless doorbell chimer out with me and stuck a note inside the glass of my front door saying "DPD, I'm in the garage at the side of the house".  Nobody appeared or rang the bell.  About an hour after the due time I checked my emails.  I'm not sure if this is a new thing or is dependant on the level of service booked by the sender, but it said "Nobody home.  Taken to drop-off point for collection.  You will be notified when it can be collected".  I kept checking the rest of the day to see if I could collect it before 8pm when the shop closes, and the next email said "Returned to depot.  Will be delivered to drop-off point tomorrow.  We will notify you when it can be collected".  No choices were given to rearrange delivery to my house, as I've previously been offered.  I received notification about 4pm the next day that it was ready for collection.  The drop-off point is no more than 5 minutes away from my house by car and is on the way back to the depot that is 30 minutes away, so they would have driven past the drop-off shop to return the parcel to the depot, returned to the area the next day and done a delivery route that would have been minutes away from my house at some point, and then delivered it to that shop on their way back to the depot.  It didn't make any sense at all to me.

Probably means he was running late or couldn’t be arsed. DPD are usually the best round our way, Evri are still as useless as ever.
