What Fender era do you hope to replicate?

Over the decades, they have used different rod magnet formulations, copper wire gauges and winding techniques. These contribute to differing output strengths and tone.

Some modern interpretations produce pickups in Tele Neck format but with a good dollop of Stratocaster neck position pickup tone.

The relic look is best achieved by ordering a nickel silver metal cover that is either nickel plated or unplated. Scotchbrite on chrome rarely turns out well.
    Be seeing you.

Thanks @Funkfingers …I’ve got a super cool Nash  thin-line with a Lollar single coil bridge and Lollar Humbucker in the neck. I’m playing a lot of Stones etc, but just fancied trying a quality single coil in the neck position as although I love the bridge position & bridge/neck combination I’m not totally convinced I’m a neck humbucker fan.. :)
