    Slight sidetrack, but I play in a 50s rock n roll band and just picked up a used TC Electronic Echobrain pretty cheap. If you're looking for an easy-to-get-hold-of analogue delay for some slapback fun in the meantime, while you search for a reasonably priced Mystery Brain, you won't go far wrong. 

    I basically mimic Josh Smith's setting from this vid:
