Any idea what year the Rat is from? Odd that it's a USA model but isn't LM308 (even though that chip does precisely nothing for the tone, despite what people say)

It’s not odd- the latter USA ones didn’t get the lm308, that’s all.

It's very reasonably priced even accounting for the IC. I'm tempted even though I've already got two. I've got a couple of LM308s floating round if you want one, you could double the price and it'd still be competitive.

Yeah, that and the fact that it's a flat box. When production moved to China they changed the knobs, and the enclosure became sloped.

No idea. Sonically, it reminds me of, maybe, a DOD 250 meets a Harmonic Percolator or something. Can go from clean to real tweedy and gnarly.
