Bare Knuckle Mules | SOLD £250 ONO posted or collection from Birmingham B14

A matched set of Bare Knuckle Mules with gold pole pieces and brushed nickel covers.

Only selling as I'm selling the PRS I ordered these to fit, and I have another set in one of my guitars.

Ordered brand new in 2017, they've lived in my PRS SE Bernie Marsden (also for sale!) for 6 years until last week. The wires haven't been trimmed at all and the covers have never been removed. They're short-leg, 4-conductor wiring, potted and standard pole spacing. The bobbins under the covers are double black. Some light marks on the covers from general playing, but nothing major.

I'm assuming most people looking at this will know what these are, but just in case, the BKP blurb is pretty spot on.

A couple of quick thumbnails below; detailed full-resolution album on Imgur.

Bare Knuckle Emeralds |  SOLD £200 ONO posted or collection from Birmingham B14

Uncovered, short-leg, 4-conductor wiring, standard spacing.

I ordered these brand-new to go into my main Les Paul in 2017, and the only reason I'm selling them is that I fancied a cosmetic change and decided to get a zebra set instead! I love these pickups - they're vastly underrated within the Bare Knuckle range. Rich harmonics, balanced mids and open presence in the bridge with controlled but full low end, and a fat, creamy and brilliantly clear neck pickup.

They've never had covers fitted, and the wires have never been trimmed - they were professionally fitted by Steve at the Guitar Repair Workshop in Manchester. I've taken multimeter readings, as pictured, and I suspect it was a little warm when I did it as they're both reading a little high over the spec, but by about the same amount.

I don't have the original box and associated paperwork, as I used it to sell the original Gibson pickups they replaced at the time, but they'll be supplied in a box from a different set of Bare Knuckles; don't be alarmed that the specs outlined on the box don't match.

If you're looking at these, I'm assuming you know a bit about these pickups, but just in case, the blurb from the BKP website is pretty spot on.

Oil City Hardman | SOLD pending usual £50 ONO posted or collection from Birmingham B14

Ordered brand new from Ash at Oil City in 2019 as part of a set with a Winterizer neck pickup, then replaced in 2020 with a different Oil City bridge pickup that was more what I was after, at which point I put this in a box to sell later and promptly forgot about it until recently.

Alnico 5, 9k, and fat! This is fairly thick and angry for a Tele bridge pickup, less twang (though it does still twang) and more grunt. I only replaced it as the Tele it lived in was a very dark guitar and needed something excessively bright to counter it.

Wires never trimmed, some natural discolouration to the baseplate but it's purely cosmetic - it's not pitted or anything like that. Not sure what's caused that, to be honest, but it looks fairly cool.

Here's what Ash says about the Hardman on his website (which muddles the neck and bridge descriptions, for some reason).
