1. Callaham Strat saddles, Set, Vintage 2 7/32 spacing
More details here: https://www.charlesguitars.co.uk/parts-shop/strat-parts/metal-hardware/strat-bridges-blocks-saddles-arms/callaham-strat-saddles-set-vintage-2-7-32

Price: £35 (Inc p+p, Mainland UK only)

***NOW SOLD*** 2. Aged (naturally) nickel Vintage style 6-in-line tuners (right handed). Taken off a MIM Fender 60s Road Worn Strat. In good, working condition and only removed due to an upgrade. The original owner had replaced one of the original bushings with one of a slightly different look, so I'm chucking in another set to give you some more options when you install them. No screws. The tuners, not you. Also...hang on a sec..Is anyone else having a sudden and faintly traumatic Shell Dockley from "Bad Girls" (early 2000s women's prison TV drama) flashback? <shudders slightly>

Price: £15 (Inc p+p, Mainland UK only)

***NOW SOLD*** 3. Converter bushings set in aged nickel. These are designed to allow you to use Vintage sized tuners, with posts of 6.35mm and designed to fit in an 8.8mm tuner hole, instead fit a modern tuner hole diameter of 9.98mm. As new and unused.
Important Dimensions:
Outside diameter = 9.98mm
Inside diameter = 1/4 inch or 6.35mm

Price: £8 (Inc p+p, Mainland UK only)

4. Aged HSS Strat Dark Brown Tort ('62) pickguard. I aged this myself, and it looks pretty good IMO. Includes truss rid wear, the "weak spot" crack at the screw hole just behind the neck pickup and has been suitably scuffed and stained to look like it's lived a long, hard life. Shielded on the underside to silence any noises from the control area. I can't remember if this is of Fender origin - I've had it for ages - but it's been on both USA and Guitar Build bodies so should fit most Fender Strats out there.

Price: £30 (Inc p+p, Mainland UK only)

***NOW SOLD*** 5. A set of Charles Guitars Vintage Relic Aged Light Cream - Ivory Strat knob set.
A set of knobs with 1 Volume and 2 Tones with softened and polished rounded edges, light dirt build up for the feel of a liftime of wear.  These knobs fit USA sized pots. I'll throw in a matching switch tip too. Oh shush. Stop it. It's a nice thing to do and anyway, that's what this place is about.

Price: £13 (Inc p+p, Mainland UK only)

All prices are firm and assume PayPal F&F. If you prefer to use PayPal Goods, that's fine, but please be ready to cover the additional seller's fees.

  • Potentially interested in the saddles. Will check my spacing later today

  • Concerning the saddles, if they're the ones you link to, I believe these are standard vintage spec and not the slightly narrower set that brings your E strings in from the fretboard edge. Could you just confirm this? Thanks

Hi @ClosetCasual thanks for the question and hoping you're having a good week out there?
These are the saddles provided with Callaham's Vintage Narrow Spacing Tremolo. To evidence this here's the very advert (I hope @robbs1977 doesn't mind? Can't recommend him enough as a seller btw, he was fab) on this fine forum that I purchased that tremolo from. I also bought the Highwood set of saddles too, so the Callaham saddles remain, as far as I'm aware, unused.

I hope this helps, have a smashing evening and wishing you well too.

Ah, so they don’t fit a vintage bridge, they are just narrow spacing saddles, that only fit a narrow spacing bridge.

    It would depend on a couple of things @mrkb ;
    1. if your Strat or Tremolo is a Fender, Charles Guitars provide a hugely helpful list of models these saddles are compatible with. If you click this link and scroll down you'll find that list:
    https://www.charlesguitars.co.uk/parts-shop/strat-parts/metal-hardware/strat-bridges-blocks-saddles-arms/callaham-strat-saddles-set-vintage-2-7-32

    2. if your Vintage (6 screw) trem is made by another manufacturer, then measuring the distance from the centre of the first saddle screw hole to the middle of the last one should let you know what type of saddles will suit your trem.

    :)

  • Just to confirm they are the narrow spaced saddles. I believe they also fit the Mexican spaced trems as well as the vintage narrow callaham bridge.

  • OK, thanks for the info. Just to clarify then, we are saying that these saddles will fit a vintage spec bridge plate - not just a Callaham ? If so, @bad_alice I'll take them

No they wont fit a vintage spec bridge correctly - they are narrow (52mm string spacing) so there will be 0.75mm gaps between them but still keep the 56mm vintage string spacing (which is wider that the 52mm narrow spacing) so look awful.

Hiya @ClosetCasual and hoping you're having a lovely Friday evening? Sorry for the confusion that seems to be happening here. Vintage style tremolos are usually ones described as requiring six screws to attach them to a S-type (Strat's) body, as opposed to modern style tremolos which use 2 posts to allow the tremolo to pivot against them. Vintage style tremolos come in a few iterations (and a whole slew of manufacturers) which means there are different widths bridge plate available.
As I mentioned above, this link will let you know what Fenders with Vintage style tremolos these saddles are compatible with: https://www.charlesguitars.co.uk/parts-shop/strat-parts/metal-hardware/strat-bridges-blocks-saddles-arms/callaham-strat-saddles-set-vintage-2-7-32

If your guitar isn't a Fender or the Vintage style tremolo it hasn't board isn't a Fender one then measuring the distance between the centre of the 1st and 6th saddles screw hole at the back of bridge plate will let you know what width of saddles you need.

Have a good weekend when it gets here dude!

Thanks but the confusion seems to stem from the charles guitars link you are providing, which is for the Callaham Vintage spec saddles with 56.4mm mounting and string spacing. Yet the saddles mentioned as being for sale here have the 52mm spacing - i.e. Callaham's V/N (or vintage narrow) - with vintage mounting and narrow spacing. When I mentioned "vintage spec" above this is what I was referring to as my trem block and plate are what're termed as "vintage fender" style.

Ah, gotcha. And thanks for the correction too. Good intel is always appreciated and learning? Learning is the best! :)
Cheers and wishing you well too.
