    Huge.

    Every Epi acoustic I have played has been stiffer than a twenty year old  porn star on Viagra.

    Loads better things for same price-  a cheaper Tak miles better.

    Ironically I've had both an Epi,bought new and a Takamine,used and I'd go with the Epi out of the two.

    Yeah that^^ imo. I don't recall ever being impressed by an Epi acoustic. They're usually fine but you can get much better in the same price point. A good Gibson acoustic is genuinely up there with the best - lightly built, resonant and balanced.

    Acoustics are so variable, esp at lower end, in fairness.

    I've had a takamine acoustic for 9 years now and it's opened up lovely. Though I wouldn't record with the internal piezo pickups. Either open mic recording or I'd have to invest in a fishman or something.

    I’ve got an Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J45 (these effectively replaced the Masterbilt Epiphones) and I’m very impressed with it.

    It’s very well made, solid woods, a nice round C neck profile, and a semi-satin/gloss finish that looks and feels great. The “Inspired by” models are far superior to the older models.

    That fits with the reviews of the modern 'inspired by' range of Epiphones.

    They're both absolutely fine until you have them in the same room in my experience, which is when you log into your banking app just to have a quick look.
