Fender Texas Special Neck pickup with aged cream cover £30 SOLD




Bloodstone Neck pickup, believed to be an early 60s voiced unit. It sounded fantastic. Comes with a white/aged cover £25 EDIT: measured last night and its a 48mm unit. TBH, it sounded perfect in a vintage spec guitar... but for completeness etc....


Seymour Duncan SSL-5 bridge pickup. Superb high output Strat pickup. No shrillness, just big! £40  SOLD


Postage £3.35 per pickup or will do a deal for all three if required.

    Additionally... there's a load of other stuff in the drawer to get rid of:

    Wilkinson Strat Trem
    Hardly used, should have the screws somewhere but no springs. Works well but annoyingly the ballends of strings get stuck in it hence why I replaced it.  I'm sure you could run a drill bit in there to relieve it slightly, but I found a cheap Fender bridge so slapped that on the guitar! £15





    Old Gold Strat trem - not sure of age/make etc. What you see is what you get, sorry no arm but a standard Far Eastern one fits. £7.50



    Tele type bridge, brass saddles, through body stringing or top load. £5 SOLD

    Tele Bridge plate for use with a Bigsby by WD. This is one of the metal ones, not the nasty plastic jobs. Its relic Gold finish but if I was going to use it, I'd strip the gold back to reveal the nickel underneath (probably nickel anyway). The holes have been elongated a touch by a previous owner but will be hidden (mostly) by the bridge. £15

    Tele control plate - fully wired for use with a neck humbucker and single coil bridge. Has a dual gang volume pot (500k/250k) and a push pull on the tone pot for a coil tap. Nice PiO cap fitted and a decent three way switch. £25

    There is plenty on each for each position in a regular Strat. I can get accurate measurements tonight if you are keen.

    Likewise, I'd have to measure the Bloodstone.

    Good question - I'm not sure I can answer it accurately, though. When it was in the guitar, the neck pickup (a PAF-alike) was a lot hotter than the bridge unit (60s spec Tele), so there was a bit of an imbalance anyway. What it did enable though was the right overall tone - the neck pickup had clarity without making the bridge pickup ice-pick spikey, or having the bridge pickup 'normal' and having a woofly neck unit.

    It actually was a Fender branded/packed pot (its made by CTS to their spec) so its pretty decent quality. :-)
