    Can you measure the height please? Also how far in from the open end does the spring start. Pretty sure I have one but it may be for a recessed valve socket and either too short or possibly the spring too long/stiff.

    Hi Keefy, and thanks. It's 5.1cm (a proper old school two inches) high and the spring comes to about halfway down.

    Just found it and mine has the wrong locking mechanism so wouldn't work with the part that is fixed to the valve socket.

    Looks like I have one on my desk. I would say the spring is about 3/8ths of the way down.
