Giggear for acoustic repairs?

Anyone used them for luthier-type work? I’ve heard good things about their “guitar tech” on electrics but haven’t heard that anyone’s used him for in-depth acoustic repairs.

Got a snapped acoustic headstock. I’ve got plenty of other recommendations, it’s just giggear is closest so would go there if they’re up to the job.

Their guitar technician is named Barrie Palmer and he has been there since 2007.  He used to work for Machine Head in Hitchin.  Rather than evaluate what kind of repair job might be done at the store based on reviews of the store, it may be better to base them on reviews and experiences of Barrie Palmer himself.  I have no personal knowledge of him.

Like Bill there, I don't know anything about the guy.

I'd try somewhere else. Check out the "Recommended Luthiers & Techs" at the top of the "Guitar" page :)
