I have the SKINNY looking thing in mine and it just looks cheap as chips, very little sustan either ! !

It would have to match the Block thats in it now, so the string centres need to be 2" 1/16" which is around 52.4 mm so the Strings are approx 10.5 mm apart
Id just like to point out that, despite all the video and DNA evidence, it genuinely wasn't me, your Honour  !

I'm not sure if the later 'fat' zinc block (PW29?) will fit. The earlier trem was made by Sung-il, but the later fat block trem was made by Ping Well, and there is no guarantee that the block mounting screw location, arm hole etc will align. You'd be better replacing the whole thing. I sold mine on here for peanuts, which is to say that they do come up for sale, and should be quite cheap. I've a lovely steel blocked ABM 5050M to sell (Callaham level of quality) but probably above your budget if you're just looking for a basic upgrade.

I have a redundant PW29 zinc block. It was original equipment on the Fender MIM Classic Player two-pivot vibrato.

I also have several discarded Sung-il skinny block vibrato bridges. If you can wait, I shall offer the block up to a baseplate when I get home.
    Be seeing you.

Finger crossed @Funkfingers will be able to see if it lines up OK and if not, your'e 100% right, I'll have to go for NEW :-(

I did actually buy the WRONG ( wider ) Block a while back . . . Fortunately I checked the string centres before I had the Guitar all over the living room :-)

I also have several discarded Sing-il skinny block vibrato bridges. If you can wait, I shall offer the block up to a baseplate when I get home.

I'd be curious to know the definitive answer too, so if you could compare them that would be very helpful!

Ping Well PW29 block + own screws fits perfectly on the Sung-il baseplate with the 52.4mm screw/hole spread.

Despite the block and baseplate hole alignment not looking entirely convincing, the screw-in vibrato arm goes in smoothly. No snags. No clunks.

The arm that I used to test elevates at a daft angle. Even adjusted to the Erlewine 3/32" tilt, the arm could do with the vice and mallet treatment.
    Be seeing you.

    There you go, question answered by @Funkfingers ;

I know the PW36 and PW29 blocks are not cross compatible despite both being 52.5mm spaced. Slightly different mount hole positions mean the string holes in the plate don't align well with the block, but the arm hole is worse - impossible to get the arm in.

That is what I discovered when I tried to improve the horrid two-point vibrato on a Cort G100. (Same baseplate as found on many Squier Standard Series Stratocasters.)

@mau4neu Does your Fender MIM vibrato have bent/stamped vintage style saddles or modern solid ones?
    Be seeing you.

Good. That's one less thing that I don't have to try to sell you.  :)

Hello @Funkfingers ; . . . Have we drawn a blank on the Block then ? In truth I got a little lost in communication there, I gather the Block you have is not compatible with the Base Plate I have . . . . In the words of Homer Simpson . . Doh !  . . Never mind . . . Appreciate your time anyway :-)

As promised, I checked that a PW29 block aligns correctly with a Sung-il baseplate. They do. I was too lazy to take and upload photographs.

Two things that have not happened:
    1) Me naming a price.
    2) You confirming that you want to purchase my block.

    PM sent.
    Be seeing you.
