Sold my J45 during a financial rough patch/covid and regretted it ever since. Tried a few other standards but nothing quite sounded or looked as nice as that one. After digging through some old emails i found the owner and luckily he agreed to sell it back to me last week. I'm over the moon! It's got a lovely bark to it. I'm an electric player, don't judge  B

    Well done :).

    If only I could get back my much-missed ‘61 J-45 :(.

  • @ICBM I'd imagine it'd be pretty expensive now if it resurfaced! Have you got any pics? I love a bit of  Gibson slope shoulder porn!

I'm an electric player too, but I thought that was awesome playing fwiw  =)

Killer guitar, too, one of the acoustics I tried and really liked was a J45.

Yes, way too expensive even if I found it again. The only photos I might have would be film prints, which will be in a box in the loft somewhere, if I kept them at all… but basically a standard early 60s adjustable-bridge faded cherry sunburst J-45.

That's a lovely story. I bet we all have guitars we wish we'd never sold. But to actually get it back must be great! Looks nice. If you ever want to sell it........................!!

    :-)
