  • How does the Mojo Pickups Gold Foil P90 Soapbar compare to a traditional soapbar? And how does the GF compare with the Bladed Mojotron - P90 Soapbar

They're very different, but make a good combination too.

The Bladed Mojotron is like a beefed up Filtertron. Described by Mojo as "bright and twangy like the originals but slightly fuller sounding dues to the blade poles." That sounds accurate to me.

The Gold Foil is smooth but clear - Mojo pickups describe it as bright, but full with great string definition and clarity - their description is spot on.

Fidelity Guitars often use the GF neck with a Mojotron bridge, with a four way switch. And have them in parallel and in series. I'd intended to do that, but it just didn't happen.

Thanks for that. I already have a gold foil neck pup but in mini HB format and I am wondering if your P90 is the same pickup but just in a P90 casing

Vintage correct Gold Foil based on the Rowe / DeArmond pickups but in convenient P90 size.

    Custom made cloned magnets.

    Wound with 45awg wire.

    Neck 10K and Bridge 12K

That's the Mojo Pickups blurb. They resistances seem higher than the smaller gold foils, but I don't really understand all that. It balanced well with the Mojotron bridge pickup.
