VFE Old School Tremolo, good condition, no original box and clean velcro on base. This is an earlier version of the pedal, later versions renamed 'Wave' to 'Starve'. I was uncertain about the functionality when I purchased it and emailed Peter Von Rutter. He replied: After this early version, I renamed the control "STARVE" to give a more accurate description of what the knob does to the circuit. Here's the description from the website:
"The amplifier stage is a simple transistor boost, and the gain of this stage is affected by the LFO (more on than later) and the STARVE knob. 
 The STARVE knob lowers the bottom of the tremolo sweep, creating a choppier effect, but as its name implies, it also starves the amplifier 
 and reduces its headroom. The result is a gritty, aggressive tremolo chop that is great for rhythmic tremolo effects."
By its nature, this affects the bias of a transistor amplifier stage, which is what creates the scratchy noise. Nothing is wrong with the pot itself.
