On the Duncan Custom Shop product description page for the BG1400, there is a YouTube video of Greg Koch trying the pickup in a Wildwood limited edition Esquire.
I have been saving the pickup for a project but it has never started.
Having just looked up the MSRP on the BG1400, I understand why you seek a pre-owned one. I need to research what the going rate should be.
Not sure when the BG1400 was introduced, but can’t find much on the interweb before 2008.
There was a used BG on here last year but I ended up using something else for that guitar. Wish I’d bought it then.
Just browsing a well-known UK music store. Amongst their list of Seymour Duncan pickup stock, one CS '53 Tapped Tele Lead model, £349! I repeat, £349.
FWIIW, another UK retailer lists the BG1400 at £170 but with a looooooong wait.
The US MSRP is $170 exc. shipping.
the search is currently on hold as I picked up an SD stacked pickup from eBay.
Not the BG1400 I was hoping for, but should do a job for now, giving me a hum free, punchy sound.
