Carr stays in the garage. Great amp. Removed the poor stock photos that did nothing off it.

    The cover is a Silverstone one. It's well-padded and really good. I like Carr's metal/plastic handles on the Raleigh too.

    Silverstone amp covers seem to have gone out of business. Many tales of poor service on the forums and website doesn't seem to work. Shame as that looks like a quality product. GLWS

    Yes... Carr make great amps.  Mercury was the first Carr I ever tried. I was 'auditioning' a few Teles in a shop... and even the Teles that sounded 'dead' through other amps really came alive through the Mercury.

     

    Hopefully, one day I'll get 'round to buying one. Fully understand why you're keeping hold of your Merc.  Nice colour combo!

    How would you describe the tone? More British or American?I notice you can put 6l6, kt66 or el34 's in it.I was wondering if you'd tried a 6l6valve?

    I think the first ones had KT66 power valves... but I don't think they're fitted as standard now.
