First up, a number of pickups.
Suhr Thornbucker+
Bridge pickup - £65 - SOLD
Zebra, Trem spacing,
short legs, 4 conductor wiring.
Plenty of hook up
wire, measures around 9.4k on my meter.
AlNiCo IV magnets.
Nice warm sounding pickup with a bit of bight to the attack. Taps pretty well
too.
Bare Knuckle Pickups
Rebel Yell - £100 - SOLD
53mm spacing, short
legs, this pickup is unused and boxed.
Measures 14.9k on
the meter.
Bulldog Iceman
Telecaster set - £65 - SoldNeck measures 7.92k
Bridge measures
7.42k
Nice set, installed
them in my FGN Iliad but they ended up sounding very similar to the set I have
in my LsL, so reverted back to the SD's it came with to give me something
different. Hayden winds great pickups, easily on a par with any well known
boutique winder.
PRS SE Mike Mushok
G&B set - £35
Just labelled SE,
I'm assuming these were fitted to most SE's. Specs have them listed as PRS
designed SE. Anyway, pulled out almost as soon as the guitar arrived, they
sound good, just that I had some Wolftone's sat on the shelf and access to a
soldering iron. What was I to do?!
EMG 57 - Black Chrome - £55Used for a short
while. It sounds great, includes installation kit (EMG vol/tone quick connects
etc).
Please note - this
was installed direct to body, unfortunately this means that it will not be able
to be installed suspended from a pickup ring unless re-tapped.
MotorCity
BlisterBucker - £60Motor City are a US
pickup winder and my understanding is that the Blisterbucker was a pickup wound
to get the an early VH tone, although measuring in at 15.2k, I'm not sure. However there are so many variables to pickup
winding that I it is not worth dwelling. However I can tell you that it sounds
great, warm and smooth sounding yet with plenty of bite. A bit of research
suggests that this pickup has been renamed the Angel Dust.
Trem spaced, short
legs, four conductor.

DiMarzio DP425 Satch Track Neck - SOLD.
In cream, plenty of wire left, slight bit of enamel scratched off one of the blades (see photo), purely cosmetic but otherwise fine. It measures 7.06k on the meter and genuinely, this pickup surprised me, it sounds really good. Just that the guitar it got pulled out of is being returned to the original spec.
Plenty of wire left, again a slight bit of enamel chipped off one of the blades, but it does not affect the way it sounds.DiMarzio DP184 The Chopper - £42.50
8.86k on the meter.
Gotoh 510 Trem - £90
With steel block, twin post. Trem arm, springs, posts and stud inserts included. Saddles are 10.8mm
Knife edges are in good nick, works smoothly. These are around £150 new with the steel block.
If fitting to a US Std Strat of something of similar ilk, note that you may need to remove a small amount of material from the edge of the cavity to ensure the trem will fit, but IMHO these offer an improvement over the standard 2 post trem, which is probably why they are so ubiquitous.
Responded.
