FS/FT - Fender Pro Jr in a custom 2x10 pine cab - PRICE DROP AT LAST!

edited November 2014 in Amps £
Picked this Fender Pro Jr up on a trade on here but I'm using my Gartone Stageman for all my Fender-style sounds at the moment.

£400 delivered. Pics will follow but for now, I've put up a couple from the former owner - hopefully he won't mind. :)

This is a really portable little grab-and-go set up and much loved by people like Jeff Beck and the internet's own Gearmandude. Here are some clips of him being very excited about his 1x12 version, but the pair of Jensens in this 2x10 version are every bit as good.

The amp's in Edinburgh and cosmetically it's in very good condition. It comes with its own nice little Fender jacket.

The cab was made by AF Custom Cabs and is astonishing quality, it is exactly Blues Deluxe dimensions and sounds amazing, way bigger and fuller than the original little 1x10. There's a good deal to be had here with Cam.

Just to say that, if you are thinking about this one, it might not be available very long, as there's a possibility of a local swap this weekend. But that's still to be confirmed.

No, sorry, that was a phone - based typo. It should have said WAS nearly gone. It is fully available. I'd held it for somebody who was very interested but has had to withdraw. I wasn't meaning to be flippant. I'll knock a tenner off as self-regulating punishment. :-)

Was tempted but not looking for a 2x12 for the time being. You've prompted me to possibly build my own 1x12 cab with a pro junior donor installed though :)

If I may be so bold @hotpickups, the cab is the same size as a Hot Rod/Blues Deluxe and the two 10" Jensens give a much bigger sound than you can get with a 1x12. This one sounds amazing.

I'm sure it does Richard. Just bad timing for me as I haven't the funds put aside for another amp just yet :(

Can you tell me though does it break up fairly early or still has decent headroom.

I'm not surprised Richard's chimed in, he really did make a really excellent job of putting this amp together. I genuinely am thinking of hanging on to it, but that would mean having to sell my Gartone Stageman and that might be an even greater wrench. Becaise of the additional volume from the 2x10s, the Pro Jr can stay pretty clean with single coils, and of course clean up nicely if you back off the guitar volume, but probably not really with a loud drummer un-miced. As demo'd in the videos, they are better geared to medium volume rock tones, which is where they excel. But ease back that volume control and you do get that sweet edge-of-break-up tone that lots of people like but at a real punchy volume.

One of the reasons I had it made was I loved the Pro Junior tone so much but wanted a little bit 'more'. The combination of the properly made pine cab and 2x10s does seem to give it a bit more headroom.  I play in a pretty big room here and it was plenty capable of being loud before starting to crunch.  As I said before it has a far bigger and punchier sound than you would think can come from a humble Pro.

    Sorry to leap in again!
