    Aaarrrggghhhhhh . . . Don't do it . . . ! !  . . . But then again, I did  :-) Get it out of your system, like I said at the time its really difficult to describe tone . . What didn't work for me might sound excellent to you  . . I just felt that the 6L6's sounded fuller and less harsh but at the volumes that I imagine you will be playing it might be difficult to tell the difference . . Its a great amp though either way . . . Simple, no fuss and great tone . . . All the best :-) 
    Id just like to point out that, despite all the video and DNA evidence, it genuinely wasn't me, your Honour  !

    Aha thanks @maw4neu. The amp is a Wienbrock Gringo, which is based around a Fender 5e3 circuit. It's a great amp, but I'm currently reevaluating my set up therefore the 6v6 quest is now on hold ... let's just say I'm having issues
