"Melodic" Playing - or how to inject some more "melody" into your playing

What's Hot
This is one of those weird topics where "melodic" is a bit of a buzzword that kind of gets thrown around as the antithesis to wanky playing (I guess). In this video I talk about the idea and 3 tips that I think will help to inject more melody into your own playing, if that's something you're looking to do....

You have a nice touch in your playing. For me melody is all about controlling the chord tones and non-chord tones. I like the Hooktheory website where you can follow the melodies moving in and out of the chord tones in real-time, especially if you set the sound source to piano. Hence, I mostly compose on the piano nowadays
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

I'd put you in the very advanced player category....

    Edit:
I like your Strandberg Boden Classic 8.

    What's the tuning?
