More cheap guitar greatness

Collected up a Sigma 00M-15S for a very measly sum. Laughable really as the thing exceeded all expectations yet again. 
Mahogany tops are a bit marmite but I love them, more creamed butter than marmite for me,  and this has a wonderful tone
Perfect for the simple country blues I play. 12 fret, pyramid bridge, slot head, nice Grovers and wide nut 
Weighs a ton but as do the Martin hogs. The braces must be lead-lined. 

Every time i I do this I’m reminded and justified in why I didn’t spend £X on the genuine version, not to say I don’t or am against ‘proper’ guitars but I’m much more comfortable in this price bracket 

Sweep away all snobbery and bathe in a fairly expensive taxi ride money glory that is Far Eastern lutherie

    I have the Martin equivalent and its far from heavy.Big fan of Sigma myself.

    IMO, there's nothing wrong with a heavily built/heavily braced acoustic guitar. 

    My acoustic guitar of choice (that I've stupidly tried to replace with more expensive alternatives only to keep returning to it), is a Stanford OM (MIC built, but the same specs as a Furch OM32) I paid a stupid cheap price for is so incredibly light built/lightly braced the soundboard would move with the slightest change of humidity and it's been bellying in the time I have owned the guitar, the saddle has been creeping lower and lower with each service; it'll need a reset at some point.

    What's the string spacing at the saddle like of your Sigma?

    As for cheap acoustics, I'll never spend a significant amount on an acoustic ever again as when I did I've absolutely terrified of playing it and f*cking it up.

    String spacing is 2.3”
    Talking weight again it really isn’t that heavy, I got a bit jooped as I’ve been on a Kalamazoo for a couple of weeks which is extreme in the other direction I usually have to get it from the ceiling when it’s floated up there.

    I have a Sigma S000M15E which is an all solid mahogany OM. It compares very favorably to my student’s Martin 000-15E which has very similar specs. The Sigma is the sensible choice but the Martin has something romantic about it that I can’t put my finger on. It’s got that dust bowl vibe.
