Roller nut on square neck resonator?

What's Hot
Fitted a Hipshot Doubleshot tailpiece to my Wechter square neck resonator. Changing key requires minor adjustments to tuning. Has anyone fitted a roller nut to a square neck resonator or any other options to consider? Currently have a bone nut.

What roller nut are you thinking about?  The only ones I've come across are the LSR nuts and the 3-roller nuts, both designed for 9.5" radius fretboards (strats/teles).  They will not work at all on any different radii, I'm afraid.  I'm assuming the Wechter is flat fretboard?

Not sure if the key change issue is necessarily the nut?  Anyone else got a view?

Hipshot make what you're looking for:

Looks like it would be a fairly straightforward install.

Their blurb states it's essential to use it and locking tuners with the DoubleShot

  • Saw post on Fretboard regarding similar on a Strat suggested easing width of string grooves and applying lubrication. Added a drop of rapeseed oil to each groove, problem solved. Accurate key changes without the need for minor adjustments to string tension.
