FS/FT 70s/80s Japanese Strat - complete or for parts £120
This seems to be (largely from the switch size and build quality) a late 70s/80s Japanese Strat clone, and it’s very good but I’m just not a Strat person.
Body is full thickness and solid wood, I’m guessing ash/sen. Trem block is thick. Neck is really thick compared to most Squiers etc I’ve played, but very fast and comfortable to play.
Its by no means all original - electronics bar the switch are Squier to get it up and running, and I’ve put a set of steel saddles on the bridge. It sounds massive clean or dirty and plays really well.
Currently it has a 3 way switch and the middle pickup has a blend pot to bring it in for any configuration, but this is a bit temperamental and I’ll have a look at the wiring.
The guitar has a genuine relic appearance - no fake nonsense here, just many years of wear. It’s lovely but obviously has several dings etc. Nothing awful but the price reflects the years of wear - a slight fixer-upper in terms of setup and worth a look at first if it was to be gigged, but as a play around the house or
practice type guitar it’s brilliant - quality far exceeds anything else at this price.
£120 collected from near Bath for the whole thing.
