    It’s a S/H Gibson J - 185.
Tried out too many guitars to mention this weekend but it came down to 4 in the end.

S/H D28 - kind of fell in love with the idea but the one I could afford (same price as the Gibson) just felt really tight.

New D18 - was just amazing to be fair but more than I wanted to spend

S/H OO - 28 on eBay - so tried a new one in a local shop just wonderful

and then the Gibson just took me by totally surprise - soooo sweet but powerful if you whack it pic below

    Others
Taylors were lovely, a S/H Larrivee was hard to walk away from and as for the Lowden, don’t even get started - I swear that thing was a Steinway piano in disguise

No, you were correct. It's 2008, July 10th (because 2008 is a leap year) and the second guitar stamped that day.
