Edit: Happy NGD by the way, sorry to forget the pleasantries, enjoy it!
I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.
They do a specific fingerstyle version, too.
I have the om-02 and it's one of the best acoustics I've ever played tbh!

I suppose it adds character - the dealer said it 100% didn’t leave like it, but it’s covered by a 12 month warranty if there’s any issues.
Long story short I made the mistake of playing some considerably more expensive instruments whilst in store and am now coming home poor but very happy
FWIW, I think the 00-14 is one of the best body sizes out there but they seem to go completely under the radar. I have a 00-21 repro, which I like a lot.
For me Martin make the best acoustics
For me, the shorter scale with 14 frets and the wider nut is the perfect recipe. I can honestly see me keeping this forever.

But it must be said the Larrivee was absolutely a fine guitar. I'm glad I sprung for the Martin in the end but if I was looking for something about the £1k range again new, I reckon that Larrivee would be hard to beat.

I've never played a 00
The room I play tends to stay between 40 and 60 and touch wood I’ve never had any noticeable issues. I have been putting this back in the case each time though rather than hanging on the wall, not sure if that’s being overly cautious or whether it makes naff all difference!
It feels very similar in size to Taylor Grand Concert guitars I’ve had, the body size just feels right for me. 000/OM would be the biggest I’d want.
Good choice mate ! Looks gorgeous
TBH I'd have to try and oo, ooo, om side by side. Also I see there's an oo18. I wanna try one of these now

Few makers do, and the ones that do are generally 1 3/4" nuts eg Bourgeois.
If you're happy with a Mahogany 00-18, then I'd recommend vintage as all non reissue 00-18's (14 fret) have 1 11/16" nuts, and if look carefully enough to find a early 50's one will be a bit more than the other ones, but IMO the 'mystery spruce' Martins are IMO some of the finest guitars ever made.

A 14 fret 000, has the same body size as an OM but is short scale, eg the 000-18, 000-28. Nut width/string spacing is generally dependent on the model.
