SOLD: Hughes & Kettner Zentera amp head & Z-Board

This is probably one more for eBay, but worth a try here first.  Rare is a hugely overused word in gear terms, but possibly justified with this.

As with most H&K products, these weren't in the catalogue for very long, but that was perhaps more down to the orbital prices at the time rather than their usual desire to design the next technological big thing.  RRP of the head was >£2k, with the combo even more, and the Z-Board alone was around £400 from memory. 

Alex Lifeson used them live alongside his TriAmps before moving on to Switchblades, and before the arrival of Axe-FX and Kemper Zenteras were considered the final word in digital modelling.  Apart from said Axe-FX & Kemper, I've auditioned every available digital solution for live use over the years, and this is by far and away the most authentic and organic sounding of the lot, and the easiest to program and use.

A few superficial scuffs here and there, but both items are in great all round condition and full working order.  Comes with 10m cable to connect the Z-Board to the amp, print of manual and IEC lead.

    wow  - I used my zenamp to rehearse tonght and was toying with using it for gigs instead of my full rig,  the zen sounds in a different league to any of the other "modelling" amps I've used in the past and if these sound better then I would love it!   

    That looks a great buy if only I could justifty yet another amp.

    Stef is a great chap to deal with - someone should snap this up!

    Hughes and Kettner stuff is awesome and looks so good. I've no idea why it doesn't hold more resale value. Great for people like me though. Good luck with the sale.
