First Track in Ages....

A few bum notes - trying out new gear. Unfortunately my Vocals are ropy and I cant write lyrics myself so there arn't any.... Need a partner to do lyrics at least if not actually record the vocals.

Cool !...glad your liking S1 !...( although spell check might be in order ;-) )...it usually defaults to Persons .

Anyhow ....nice track, decent mix, be nice to see what plugins or FX you used if any....master bus also ?

Mix is a bit busy, only because I wanted a little from all my new ear to see how they played together.

Master bus has some small EQ - bass boost, top end roll off (actually a default preset in the master section - take it easy, or nice and easy). There is a Multiband compressor and a limiter just to keep things a couple of dbs below 0. The guitar has reverb and delay - but there coming from the AFX.

No individual tracks had any inserts/plugins except one on a Peak track. Its really low in the mix on the chorus bits. Its an arpeggiated bleep type sound - but its auto panned using a free plugin - Pancake 2. . No Idea If Studio one has something like that already, but I had it in reaper so used it.

I am only listening on my phone speakers and it already sounds good. So I'm sure it will sound great on a decent system.

Cool track. Very enjoyable playing too. Did u track the lead part in one go or cobble a few takes together?

All tracks are single takes - hence the odd bum note. The lead is improvised not "written" as such

Just listened to this again. Real obvious Gilmour influence! Nice playing.. I remember reading/watching something that explained that Gilmour would do a bunch of takes for guitar solos, and then from the takes, he would piece the bits he liked together, practice it, and play it through for the final recordings.
