Wanted : Pair of Celestion G12-65 Speakers (16 ohms each)

As the title says, looking for a pair of Celestion G12-65 speakers. Must be the ones with the 1777 'Lead' cone. Also would consider the Heritage G12-65 reissues too.

Must be 16 ohms each (or 15ohms as many of them stated on the label).

Im looking for a pair as well do you fancy going in together on a cab and splitting the speakers if I can source one down my neck of the woods

Dan, if you are looking for loose speakers outside of a regular marshall cab, beware, there are loads of 65 celestions, lots of different variants, PA speakers the lot (I think it's something like over 30 different G12 65's!!!).

Check the T number on the frame, the famous marshall lead cone (1777) 16ohm one is T3054 or T3120 if it has the marshall label instead of the cele label.

Hi mate,

Yeah there are definitely a lot of revisions of that speaker. The one I'm looking for is what you mentioned, the 1777 cone T3054 :-) I had some 4 years ago and they sounded killer.. Fancying them again now! The 444 cones I tried once sounded like crap in comparison.. I believe those were the bass version.
