So, I recently tried to change the look of my Jag. My wife was not impressed and there was talk of it moving off the wall downstairs and into the spare bedroom. I backed down.

The pickguard is made using real celluloid and was cut expertly by Jack's Instrument Services based on my original AV65 guard (the first picture shows fraying but that's just the protective film which has since been removed). I'm pretty sure this means it will fit older USA Jags as well as MIM models. It's quite brown, not much red to it, and there's quite a bit of depth to it compared to the plastic ones. Total cost was over £80 and it's basically new, having been on my jag for a total of an hour max. £50 posted.

The covers are genuine Fender parts though I'm guessing from the '62 RI series as they're darker than the AV65 parts. They really suited the tort guard but were a bit dark for my blue Jag. Again, hardly used. £10 posted for the pair.

I've also got a cheapie Jag pickguard that very much does not fit my Jag - I'm guessing it's for Japanese reissues. It's redder than the celluloid one but a good texture to it. Take a punt for £5 inc delivery!

Any questions please ask!

    Nevermind
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I was going to ask for your covers but inpatient me sanded down the set I had to fit through my scratch plate holes.
I then updated my message to nevermind as I no longer need them.

In that case, what did it replace?

I dislike the pickguard that came with my AVRI 62 Jag. It is excessively green and the edge bevel angle is wrong.

I have been using a white Moto ‘guard but that is starting to bore me.
    Be seeing you.

The original one was bright white, I replaced it with a cheap mint green one which was far greener than I’d like. This dark brown tort really brings out the Fiesta Red and makes it look much less pink.
