Recommend (or sell) me a small bodied mahogany acoustic

Fishboy7Fishboy7 Frets: 1965

What I would really love is one of these:  https://www.soundpure.com/p/santa-cruz-1929-00-mahogany-sunurst-acoustic-guitar/3918

(Santa Cruz 1929 00)

But I can’t really justify this in terms of either cost or my Acoustic skills.

So I’m looking for something along similar lines, say up to about £1k on the used market.  All mahogany, 12 fret, slot headstock.

So far Martin 000-15s looks like a good contender, but I’m not that up to speed with Acoustic stuff.  Can anyone recommend anything else that fits the bill?

Perhaps a bit left-field, but when I was there a couple of weeks ago, Street Level in Southsea (Portsmouth) had a vintage Gibson acoustic which had been painted over in the 60s.

These are nice - had one a while back (serial number 11):

Not sure what they go for used but probably not too far off your budget.

I have the cutaway electric version of this and it's excellent.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

The Gibson is a bit far.  The Martin (tweedy) looks lovely but pretty close to the santa Cruz in price I think..... ?

Sigma are a good call and potentially well under budget.   I'll have a trawl through Reverb / eBay.

I don't want to spend too much.  I have had nice acoustics in the past (Lowden, Collings, martin hd28vs) but they were wasted on me really  :)

I have an Eastman E10-00 which I like a lot.  They make an all Mahogany version which I played and liked a lot.

You can get a brand spanking Sigma for half your budget and treat the Mrs to a holiday with the rest! (or buy another guitar and keep it quiet) A Sigma is not even close to half the price of a Martin but not necessarily only half as good :)
